Board Elections
AOR is accepting nominations for its Board of Directors.
BOARD MEMBER ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to be an officer, you must be either an individual member or work for an organization who is a member of AOR.
GENERAL BOARD EXPECTATIONS
All Chairs shall be required to report to the general membership and the board about committee activities. In addition to duties outlined for each position in the bylaws, board members are expected to:
- Attend and participate in monthly board meetings (two hours, via in-person participation or video conference call) and annual board retreat (in-person attendance, usually one full day in the Portland metro area)
- Volunteer at least 8-12 hours per month on AOR activities (non-compensated, which includes board meeting participation)
- Attend the annual conference, and attendance at Forums and other events is very strongly encouraged
- Participate in at least one committee and assist with responsibilities of that committee
- Actively work to help AOR work towards our strategic goal(s) for the year
- Assist with conference sponsorship solicitations and other fundraising activities
- Recruit new AOR members, committee members, and board nominees
- Represent AOR at special events as requested by the Board of Directors/staff

Members will elect new board members at Sustainable Oregon 2026 in Eugene, June 22-24.
